How PDFDog processes files

Most PDF and image tools process files locally in your browser. This includes image converters, Remove Background, Change Background, Resize Image, Compress PDF, Image to Text, and Word to PDF. Those tools are designed not to upload your document or image contents to PDFDog.

PDF to Word is a cloud-processing exception. When you choose that tool, your PDF is temporarily sent through PDFDog to Adobe PDF Services for conversion. PDFDog requests cleanup of the provider input and output assets after retrieval; provider expiry is the fallback if a cleanup request fails. PDFDog does not intentionally retain the document after processing.

PDF to Text uses native extraction for pages with usable text and loads local OCR assets only for pages that need recognition. The PDF and OCR result remain in the browser for that tool.

Accounts and billing

Supabase provides authentication and the account data needed for PDFDog Plus entitlement and subscription state. Stripe processes Plus payments and billing details. PDFDog does not store your full payment-card number.

Advertising and consent

Google AdSense is PDFDog's advertising provider. Its official Google Privacy & messaging configuration is required before advertising is activated and is responsible for the applicable consent, opt-out, and privacy-choice journeys for European, UK, Swiss, and US-state requirements. PDFDog does not create its own consent string or advertising profile. Free users may see ads only when the provider configuration and consent state allow them; PDFDog Plus remains ad-free.

Analytics and tracking

PDFDog has a first-party product measurement layer for coarse operational signals such as tool usage, outcome categories, device category, browser category, and size/page-count buckets. It is consent-gated and does not intentionally collect document contents, images, OCR or extracted text, filenames, generated files, document metadata, account identity, email address, exact location, tokens, or payment details. Authentication cookies and necessary session data may be used to keep signed-in features working.

PDFDog may later use sufficiently aggregated and anonymized statistics for product improvement, market analysis, and commercial insights. This does not mean that PDFDog currently sells identifiable user records or individual document data. Any future reporting will use minimum-cohort safeguards and remain separate from raw operational events.
